The EasyMount series of vertical diffusion chamber systems consists of two individual diffusion (Ussing) chambers, a heating block for temperature control, needle valves for adjustment of gas flow for oxygenation and gas lift stirring and Ag/AgCl voltage and current electrodes for measuring transepithelial voltage and for passing current.
All EasyMount chambers (series P2250, P2300, P2400 and P2500) use the same stand and electrodes. Each has one or more application specific ‘sliders’ designed to hold a wide variety of tissues and cell culture inserts, see chart below. Tissues are placed in the chamber simply by loosening a thumbscrew, inserting the slider holding the tissue into the space between the chamber halves, and retightening the thumbscrew. The chambers do not need to be removed from the heating block nor are the electrodes disturbed. The easy and rapid replacement of tissue samples makes the EasyMount system an excellent choice for high-throughput applications.
EasyMount systems are versatile and can be readily ganged together in series to allow for higher throughput, multi-chamber applications. They are compatible with any of our line of voltage/current clamps. They can be purchased in a variety of chamber and specific tissue holder configurations to meet most applications. If you require a custom chamber or would like information on selecting the chamber or tissue holder configuration that is most suited to your application, please call our Technical Support Department for assistance.
